Hi all
I'll 2nd Jostbers idea.
A complete collection of all the Parker & Tristano recordings would be a great idea.
I imagine getting the rights to do it could prove to be a problem. There's probably quite a few labels invovled. $$$$.

Hi There's a 2CD set of Dizzy Gillispie's RCA Victor recordings. At the the end of the 2nd disc are 4 tracks with Lennie, Bird, Bauer and Safranski playing together for a Metronome all-stars date (1949). Hearing Bird play Tristano's line "Victory Ball" is just amazing. There are a couple of other br...

I believe it's the 'East 32nd' solo that he plays on the Lennie Tristano Memorial Concert recording.
I haven't listened to it in a while, I need to copy it to MD (don't want to wear the vinyl out!)....might try and do it tomorrow.

It's amazing that there are so few fans chatting.

Nobody's listening to him eh......(maybe you're all on holiday...)

'New York Moment' arrived in the post a couple of days ago. Very nicely recorded and great playing from everyone.

Recommended to his fans. (maybe I'm the only one!)

Bye now,
Adam

Hi
The 2 tracks of Lennie and Bird are Philology. Look in the live recordings section at http://www.philologyjazz.it

They're part of the Bird's Eyes series.

I ordered my copy from Cadence.

Enjoy
Adam
